@TYI after the Ukraine-Russia conflict many Russians staying in Europe turned their license plates into “discreet plates” (unrecognizable white plates with just blank black text) to avoid vandalism. Some Ukrainians did the same, although much less as this is the first one I see, while I have seen a few Russian discreet license plates

@Dalzzz I understand Russians doing this as I’ve spotted two Russian cars with discreet plates in Monaco but not for Ukrainians.

@TYI it is a lot less common to see a discreet Ukrainian plate, but the reason remains the same. There definitely is someone who’d vandalize it for the same reasons as a Russian plate. Is it a brainless thing to do to a random car? Yes, but you never know what to expect with people
