Maybe the following tutorial will be helpfull. Just resize te images to 1920 pixel wide instead of cropping them. It's freeware and won't affect the quality. Before I started using photoshop I used this tool myself. It's very easy.

Nice spot! The color is insane. By the way, did you know you can reduce the size of the pictures without cropping them? With photoshop or other editing software
