I found this 2004 Chevrolet Corvette C5 Z06 Commemorative Edition parked at Hayfields on 9/20/2020. You're probably thinking while looking at these pictures: "Hey, what are all of these cool cars doing here?" Well, let me begin by explaining Hayfields. Hayfields is a little country mart along NY-121 which spans from Bedford, New York to Brewster, New York. It intersects with many major state routes including NY-22, NY-35, NY-39, NY-116, NY-137 and NY-138. These are very popular driving roads as it is in the middle of nowhere and there is a ton of scenery to look at as you are blasting through the windy roads. Hayfields is kind of like a checkpoint where you can recharge and get some good food and coffee while you are out driving or cycling. During the weekends, many car enthusiasts from different groups gather at Hayfields to chill out and talk about their cars, politics, whatever. Think of it like a Forza Horizon lobby but in real life. Or better yet, think about it like a biker bar only instead of a bunch of motorcycles owned by boomers, it's a bunch of interesting cars owned by people of all ages, races and genders. Now let me make one thing clear: THIS IS NOT AN ORGANIZED EVENT. Everyone shows up there at whatever time they want to and are free to leave whenever they want to. Most of the cars show up around 7:00-8:00 however many cars show up after the majority of the people have gone on their way around 11:00-12:00. There is no special parking, nobody directing traffic, it is not advertised anywhere, just a bunch of different guys and gals who went out for a Sunday morning drive and are getting something to eat and look at each others cars. When you are out taking pictures in the parking lot, sometimes you will see an entirely different group of cars that either show up for a few minutes to grab a bite or they just blow right past and continue driving. The only time I will not upload photos from this place is the first Sunday of every month as that is the official Cars & Coffee date. With all of this being said, I have obtained permission from the AG mods who said I could post these photos. If anyone has a problem with it or wants me to go back to spotting in Greenwich, New Canaan or wherever please let me know.
